About me

Registered Nutritional Therapist (dipCNM, rCNCH, mBANT), and Genomics PhD

With my background in science and research, I love to dig deep into my client’s symptoms and the reasons why a certain approach may or may not work for them.

I help women and men to regain their vitality and the confidence that their body can begin to heal when given the right food, nutrients, and nurturing environment. By looking at the whole body, and often beginning with the gut, we can improve and support a range of conditions from autoimmunity, skin conditions, hormonal health, and fertility.

I look to address the root cause of your health concerns. I do this by taking the time to understand your challenges and daily struggles, and will use functional testing when relevant to dig deeper into your symptoms.

As with most people who study nutritional therapy, I also embarked on my own health journey. After years of hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, and anxiety, nutritional therapy has really helped me to optimise my own health.

I offer one-to-one consultations online, or in person in my Brighton clinic.

Prior to my nutrition studies, I completed a PhD at the University of Oxford in genomics. My research investigated the differences in the genome in patients with ankylosing spondylitis, an autoimmune disease that mainly affects the joints of the spine. Following this research, I became interested in how the gut microbiome can have an impact on the immune system, leading me to study nutrition.

In addition to my nutrition diploma and PhD, I also hold an MSc in Pharmacogenetics and Stratified Medicine from University College London, and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from Brunel University.

I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), and I am regulated by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

A few things you may like to know about me: I love spending time outside in nature, especially in the South Downs close to where I live. I am a new mum to a baby boy, who is now 1 and a half! The journey into motherhood has provided me with a new perspective, and deeper knowledge to support my clients. I also enjoy travelling, reading, and gardening. Practising yoga, Qi Gong, meditation, and other energy practices are also really important for my wellbeing.
